How does it work?

AceMon performs intermittent scans using SNMP protocol that have been preconfigured on hosts and services by using plug-ins which return critical status information. When preconfigured thresholds have been breached, AceMon will send out a detailed notification to the appropriate contacts in a variety of different ways (e-mail, page, instant messaging, SMS, etc).
